LIBRARY TO HOST PRESENTATION ON EARTHQUAKE PREPAREDNESS
A presentation on Earthquake Preparedness will take place on Thursday, September 20, 2018, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at the Livermore Public Library Civic Center, 1188 S. Livermore Avenue. It’s free to attend, and no sign-up is needed.
Unlike hurricanes, tornados, floods, and severe storms, an earthquake is the one disaster that does not provide citizens with advance warning that it will occur. If individuals are not prepared for an earthquake now, they will not have time to prepare once one strikes. Learn how to mitigate against, prepare for, respond to, and recover from a damaging earthquake in this one hour presentation by the City of Livermore’s Emergency Manager, Herbert Cole.
